Acrylic play
I took a scrap paper from Studio Calico Autumn Press collection which was sitting in my scrap file and pasted onto my art journal (of 3pages). Here's what I did on 27May2012
- Misted with TA Teal High and OA Sidewalk Miss Mary Mack
- Mixed a little yellow and red acrylic and stamped with Tim Holtz background stamp
- Used a plastic bottle to stamp some circular pattenrs onto the paper.. and here's the semi finished product on yesterday

What was done yesterday is now buried underneath all the add-ons today. Today, with a little washi, some acrylic paint and as usual I dabbed some TH stamps here. Added some heirloom gold perfect pearl to the sun too and there you have, what seems to be a meteorite hitting the rail tracks. So how do you intepret this?
** Conclusion I need to spend more time to master the skill to use texture paste

Kinda sorted
We recently renovated the study room - from an Ikea furnished room to a new built-in cabinets. Prior to this, my stuff were mainly in the storeroom . So here are some when laid out on the floor while I was sorting out the things. All 3 boxes were punches, washi tapes and some knick knacks, still end up in the storeroom for the time being.
I took time to sort out my bags and boxes of things. One of the black file folders holds Unity stamps, while the other one is empty for the time being. Most acrylic stamps are housed in one of the rectangular boxes. While other bigger packet of stamps are lying some where in another shelf, unsorted. wooaaaa ... there ARE still lots to do to organise and further sort!

Thank you for ART
This would be my 1st attempt to produce a piece of mixed media art, on a thrift shop sketch book. Credit must be given to these inspiring artists which influence my work. These are few of great blogs of artists which I subscribe and read them to get inspirations and ideas.
Christy Tomlinson
Donna Downey
Nathalie Kalbach N* Studio
Revlie Schuit
I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Just need to play more with inks, paints and lay my hands more often on texture paste to create art :) I'm loving ART! And hey, this is from my kid (who spent 1/2hr doing his little project while I spent many hours on mine)

Minis for a cause
The PURPOSE: For birth parents/family and foster parents/family to write and put photos into, that will accompany baby through his/her journey through life. The organizer of this event Ka Ren wrote that this is particularly important for the child to have a sense of his/her past and beginnings, so it will be a very meaningful project for us to participate in.
I'm really really a novice in making minis. They are not fanciful, just plain with some emblishments for the parents/family to add their thoughts and photos to create beautiful memories for the child. Hope the albums that I create would make a difference in another person's life.

Thrusday's up - The 3Gs
Green, Grass, Glitter
This is theme for this week at 365cards. Your card design should be inspired by these trigger words. This week we have a digi stamp sponsor.I got to play with a beautiful image from My Heart Pieces. I'm surviving this week with minimal papers and no proper color pencils (I used the ones from my kids' stash), as I packed them up for room redo.

Thrusday's Up! - Favorite brand name inspiration
Favorite brand name inspiration
I'm on again today on 365cards. Today, select one your favorite name brand items (for instance, I love Starbucks) and use an associated image to inspire your card. It can be an advertisement, product color/style - anything you want, as long as it is inspired by that brand. I had done a beginner card during blog hop back in Feb with the cup warmer. Today I threw in some red/pink for another simple cuppa! So what's your brand name inspiration?
Supplies :
* Chervon chipboard tag from RAK
* Buttons & rubons from October afternoon
* Capuccino twine from the The Twinery

Wednesday's Up! - Favorite Technique
I'm standing in for Mary this Wednesday @ 365cards. The challenge today is to create a card using the technique you favor most - try to really make it stand out on your card. You should know by now I love to use ribbon/twines/washi on my card. Seems almost impossible for me to miss these add ons to my card. So there you have some numero washi tape and cream ribbon.
Simple card to say thank you to my mom who comes by to help A LOT and especially to 'save' me from my little monsters. Happy Mother's Day! xoxo
Supplies:
* Patterned paper from Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas - chervon, My Mind's Eye 12 days of Christmas - candy stripes
* Bazzill Kraft cardstock
* October Afternoon Sticky Keys
* Lily Bee Designs ABC Alpha stickers
* Cream ribbon from Daiso

Apr2012 ATC Final reveal
The theme for Apr2012 ATC exchange is Distress Techniques. I have to admit that my cheat codes was distress inks and distressed stamps. Am lucky to have the Ranger craft mat to allow some ink play to blend to stamp. As I was saying in my earlier post, I was desperately looking for my blending tool but couldn't find it. So I resorted to using cosmetic sponge to blend
1. I did a background stamps using with TH mixed media stamps and distress inks.
2. While the 1st last layer of ink is still wet, I stamped another layer
3. Next up, I patted Festive Berries and Crushed Olive onto the craft mat and used the Itty Bitty stamp to dabbed onto the mat before stamping. This is my 1st time trying this technique after watching youtube tutorials over and over again and I just had to try it this time! I love the watercolor effect!
4. Sponged some Pumice Stone and added onto the ATC while it's still wet from all the stampings!
5. Last but not least, the last sentiment stamp "Feel The Joy" using Staz On.
Here are the supplies used:
1. Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2012 MIXED MEDIA
2. Tim Holtz Distress Ink PADS Tumbled Glass, Rusty Hinge Stormy Sky, Pumice Stone, Festive Berries, Crushed olive
3. Staz on Jet Black
4. Unity Stamps Itty Bitty Feel The Joy
