Let's Scrap 9-4-13

I did this for Let's Scrap DT Call - and yup I'm in for my 4th term! It's been a YEAR! Back to the layout - I safe kept #1's writing assignment during free time in school. He brought home what he wrote about a Saturday at Ikea. At that time we were shopping for a study desk for him (in the end we decided that we should just renovate the kids room instead!). He had lots of fun with #2 running and prancing around Ikea since it's a kids friendly place. The items I had used for this layout are all from October Afternoon (ranging from Farm Girl, Report Girl and Sidewalks)

Random Layout - CSI#82 + Skissedilla Summer Sketch

This spread of cheese was taken at Queens Market during our trip to Melbourne in many years ago.  There were so many things to look at and of course one of my favorite is row of gourmet cheese stalls, it's just beyond words! I love love love cheese! We got to try so many different kind of cheese and ooo how I love the visit to the market!. Anyway, I wanted to give this cheese-y photo some bright colors and I thought it's just nice I can give splashes of colors to this photo based on the CSI palette #82 this week. As usual lots of happy stamping and spritzing around the white cardstock, I do love the outcome of this layout that gives the photo and summery feel to perk up the photo. Evidences on this CSI case include rub-ons/stamps, heart (See that with the string on the left that I curl to a heart shape), starbursts and string.  The testimony to this layout is based on the prompt with question - What are the key ingredients of a memorable summer? My answer would be a camera, lots of colors and say cheese! - these are signified by the camera flair, the color palette and the title Say Cheese.

Random Layout - CSI #81 + Let's Scrap DT challenge

Okay, here's the whole lot of everything - I did the CSI case #81 + Let's Scrap DT challenge hosted by Karen + Let's Scrap card sketch. 
This is the photo of sweet Chloe from aeons ago, again this is a tribute page for her. With this tiny photo I used it for my fellow DT member Karen at Let's Scrap has a Frame challenge over at Let's Scrap. So I have the elements for her challenge - ribbon/frame/tag. As for CSI challenge the evidences on this layout include twiggy branches, silver metal, bird, rub-ons, scalloped edges, woodgrain, jar accent. As for the testimony, I chosed something from Journal Jar Questions. I had almost wanted to use all the sentiment stamps from Technique Tuesday but I found the the quote from Stamper Anonymous is more apt. There is quite a lot of stamping and misting on this page. No stencils or texture paste this round, it's just mix of colors all over the page and I am happy with the outcome!

Let's Scrap 7-10-13

This is my take on Let's Scrap sketch this week. I did a one page of the photos of the little duo again. These photos were taken at Sushi Tei, during one of the first few experience with kappamaki for #2. And of course that look on #1 when he caught the whiff of wasabi. Nonetheless, my kids now love Japanese food but #2 is still not very fond of sushi or maki as much as #1. Originally for this layout, I created the background for Let's Scrap.
