Special Investigator at CSI#77

This is my layout as special investigator at CSI, case #77. I started off with white textured cardstock and did some happy stamping, misting, stained the bricks over stencil, then more stamping. My end result is nothing girly, a typical me layout! My evidences include envelope, jute, something transparent, woodgrain pattern and fabric. My testimony this week is to document a wedding, well part of it - on the bouquet. This beautiful bouquet was taken at a friend's wedding, many years after we had ours. That reminded me whether what sort of flower I had wanted on our wedding day. I said "I had wanted" mainly because I was the decision maker on the decorations at the venue of the dinner. One of the difficult decision making point is to decide on the decoration of the venue. Our wedding dinner was held back in Penang, Malaysia and most planning was done via phone and whatever photos which the hotel could provide me with. Oh well, nonetheless, I didn't choose blue roses because 2nd march in gown was light blue. I probably would be looking like the decoration bouquets!
Noteables : Webster Pages Petite Papers Tell Your Story / Netting, October Afternoon alpha stickers, Distress Inks Bundled Sage / Crushed Olive / Forest Moss, Hero Arts Field Green, Versafine Olympia Green, Distress Stain Pewter, TCW Mini Bricks stencil, Hero Arts Wood Grain, Stampers Anonymous Stamps, Studio Calico Estate Green, Maya Road transparency and envelope, Emblishments from Beadspin
Thanks for looking!

Special Investigator at CSI #76
This is for CSI case#76. This month as I'm playing along as Special Investigator. This layout has 2 photos which depicted the 2 dinners which was held for our Chinese traditional wedding back in Malaysia. The photo on the right was pre-wedding dinner held in Kulim (my humble hometown) on 21May2005, hosted by my family, organized by my parents who did the 38 tables feast, my late papa organized the guest list, got hold of the caterer and stuff like that! The photo was taken by our photographer friend on the preparation of the feast. The actual traditional wedding date was on the next day 22May2005, held in Penang - and that's the photo of the left. Well, in neither feasts I hardly ate anything. In typical Chinese wedding, couples and parents would go round tables for toasts, shaking hands with guests and quick catch up with relatives and friends. It was DARN tiring for everyone of us indeed! My evidences include circles, numbers, small, repeating patterns. My testimony is based on inspiration words: important, guest, day -- use these as inspiration for your journaling, not just as a titleNoteables : 12x12 Tim Holtz distress CS, Authenthique Celebrate. Maya Road bingo wood chips, October Afternoon rubons/alpha stickers/buttons, Fancy pants buttons, Studio Calico wood tabs

Special Investigator at CSI#75
I am thrilled when Debbi dropped me an email to be one of the Special Investigators for the month on June on CSI! So here am I and this one is a challenge. I'm not a very girly pastel girl. so I made this wedding layout as I had wanted it to be, more rugged. And hey I had never scrapped a single photo from my wedding, this would be my first:) My evidences include lace, chevrons, flowers, wood and distressing. Testimony - add jewel to this layout. The title and journaling is based on a song by Etta James At Last. Oh well, I never knew Etta James or what song she sings. Seriously, I was at the verge of choosing some other more known wedding songs. I happen to chance upon this song from a CD I bought to play at the wedding and I totally love her voice the moment I heard this song. We chosed this song was the march in song at the wedding dinner. Since this song was memorable to us at the wedding, I decided to use one line of the lyrics as the journaling, which was also meaningful to me as *thankfully* the day passed quite smoothly and hence life is like a song, a bliss. Do drop by CSI for more details on the challenge and come play along!
